Director Biography

Alicia Wszelaki, has traveled the world for her career. She’s dedicated herself to discovering the images and stories that nurture a desire, in all of us, to explore.

Alicia lives in San Diego and is part-owner of the media company, Path 88 Productions, that produces travel related documentaries and films.

She has hosted and produced travel films for Lonely Planet TV as well as Condé Nast Video.

She is a graduate of San Diego State University.

Recently, she spent 46 days walking around Japan’s fourth largest island, Shikoku (1200km) experiencing the Pilgrimage of The 88 Sacred Temples.

Director Statement

There’s a saying in Japan, “継続は力なり – Keizoku wa Chikara Nari.”

‘Keizoku’ is ‘Continuation,’ and ‘Chikara’ is ‘Power.’

After traveling through thirty years of ‘Continuation,’ what reflections on the past are the most ‘Powerful?’

This short film shares the insights gathered along such a journey.
